BARF feeding involves raw meat, bones, offal, and fruits and vegetables. A balanced diet is important, consisting of approximately 50% muscle meat, 20% vegetables/fruits, 10% bones/cartilage, 5% liver, and 5% miscellaneous. The types of meat should vary (beef, lamb, poultry, fish, etc.). Offal such as kidneys or tripe are also important. The quantity depends on the dog's age, breed, and activity level. It is best to transition slowly. Hygiene is very important! Fresh, cool ingredients, clean utensils, and short storage times.
Raw feeding is a natural and alternative diet for pets. It has a positive effect on chewing activity and teeth cleaning. Dry food, on the other hand, is easier to handle.
